Back in 2020, after I took the Wedding Planner Consultant and Coordinator, and Destination Wedding Planner Coordination Certification Courses, I decided to take “The Art and Execution of Styled Shoots” Course with The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.
During the 2-day in-person class, we learned “how to design styled shoots with intention”.
On the first day, we learned how to plan and coordinate a styled shoot, we heard from industry experts, working on flat lays and creating centerpieces with flowers. We learned how to choose the vendors we want to collaborate with and chose a venue that suits our ideal setting for the wedding inspiration we wanted to give couples who are getting married. On the second day, we executed everything we learned on the first day, showcasing our creativity and creating a beautiful, styled shoot with the objective of increasing our portfolio and submitting it to wedding magazines.
Tracey from Tracey M Events planned and designed this beautiful editorial showcasing a newlywed couple during their ceremony, couple shoots indoors at their venue and outdoors. This styled shoot took place on the 27th floor of Vantage Venues, a venue offering beautiful rooms for conferences and events in the heart of downtown Toronto with stunning views of Lake Ontario and picturesque views of the city.
With a team of wonderful professionals, we set up the ceremony arch with fresh flowers as advised by Kimberly from Envision Floral Studio. We also laid out the lengthwise table for 16 guests including the bride and groom. We used silver linen and napkins, beautiful white square collection plates, Regal Gold collection cutlery, clear Infinity collection glassware, and walnut Chiavari chairs provided by Event Rental Group. We decorated the tables with gold candelabras from Peachwood Events.
Invitations suites and menus were designed by The Polka Dot Paper Shop. We used the stationery to create the groom’s and bride’s flat lays.
A few of us went outside to get some couple shots on King Street, it was so nice to see TTC drivers stop their streetcars and allowed us to take memorable pictures!
This beautiful venue offers floor-to-ceiling windows with modern and classic décor, beautiful chandeliers, natural sunlight, grey walls with white molds.
